The Mission
Wings of Valor is a lodge unlike any other. Located on some of the best habitat in eastern South Dakota, we are just 40 minutes from Sioux Falls and we offer world-class pheasant hunting. Wings of Valor operates on the mission of supporting those who have served by providing a gathering place to motivate and empower veterans in the outdoors. This 501(c)3 non-profit is a fully-accessible commercial hunting lodge available to all to book a great South Dakota pheasant hunt
The Experience
We have some of the best pheasant habitat in eastern South Dakota. Farmed and groomed for pheasant hunting, the lodge has been in the business since 2003, hosting family and corporate hunts. We have been utilizing the lodge for disabled veterans’ enjoyment since 2006, hosting well over 1000 veterans as a private lodge.
Incorporating as a 501(c)3 in 2019, we built a new wheelchair-accessible lodge, designed by a veteran who is in a chair. We have hosted over 500 disabled veterans for the enjoyment of the outdoors and pheasant hunting while continuing our corporate operations, utilizing those funds to support the mission.
The best part about this? We work hard behind the scenes so that the Wings of Valor Lodge experience and hunts are at no cost to our veterans.
Supporting the Mission
Wings of Valor Lodge is supported by the gifts and kindness of many donors and volunteers. With your support, personal or corporate, events and lodging will be supplied to our veterans. The continued goal of Wings of Valor Lodge is to welcome each Disabled Veteran with caring arms, at no cost to themselves. Partnering with Sanford Health, we also offer curriculum and clinical support to reinforce our passion for care of "body, mind and spirit".
