At Wings of Valor Lodge, our goal is to make your experience stress-free and memorable. To help you prepare, we’ve answered some of the most common questions veterans ask about hunts, lodging, travel, and more.

Hunts are open to all United States Veterans. Some hunts are specialized (e.g., female vets).

Applicants are scheduled on availability of hunt space (8-10 hunters per weekend) and at the discretion of the lead coordinator for that hunt.

Yes—we book your flight and coordinate pick-up from Sioux Falls Regional Airport, unless you choose to drive your own vehicle to the Lodge.

Travel itinerary will be emailed to you when your flight is booked - at least two weeks in advance. You will arrive at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport

Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, hunting gear), boots, personal items.

Firearms and ammunition are provided. Guests can bring their own shotgun with prior approval.

No hunting dogs. Service dogs are welcome with prior approval.

We offer world class accommodations, while offering guests that face mobility impairments ground level suites that were inspired by a double amputee veteran.

Yes—three hearty meals daily, with snacks and dietary accommodations maintained on request.

Volunteers are VA SAVE-trained; onsite resources and crisis line access (988) are available.

No—however, first-aid certified volunteers are always present.

No experience is needed. Safety training and guided instruction are part of the schedule.

We offer tower hunts, walk-and-block, and clay shooting—see sample schedule.

Yes—our team will help you clean, package, and make the birds transport ready.

Hunts are primarily for veteran guests but care givers may be accommodated—request on application.
